Dhini’s devotion to the practice is reflected in the depth of the classes she teaches.
A dedicated practitioner of Yoga and a Seeker on the path of spiritualism, Dhini has been teaching Yoga close to a decade. With 1000's of hours on the mat, and more than 500 hours of yoga trainings.
Her classes are nuanced and intelligently sequenced so that students are inspired, challenged and experience profound transformation. Nothing fills her up more than witnessing her students grow in their physical practice, but also become more present and compassionate beings.
Dhini is intent on respecting the traditions of Yoga, both the physical and spiritual practices. Her respect of the Iyengar method in particular is infused into her Vinyasa classes so that students learn correct alignment in order to have a safe and sustainable yoga practice. The Asana (physical) practice is only one of eight stages of the yoga pathway and Dhini is currently immersing in self-study on this path.
“Yoga takes you into the present moment, the only place where life exists.”
Patanjali
Dhini’s other love is leading yoga retreats in Australia and world wide. These retreats have become a deep source of fulfilment as she gets to experience deep connections with her students and witness the biggest transformations. She is grateful to all who courageously journey with her.
Prior to being a Yoga Teacher, Dhini was a Fashion Designer. She had her own womenswear fashion label for 7 years before going on to be head designer for a number of commercial fashion businesses in Australia. She is grateful for that experience in Fashion because it was through the stresses of that industry that she found herself in a yoga class to find respite and there began her journey and discovery of her true Dharma.
When she is not teaching and leading retreats, you will find Dhini exploring the Melbourne restaurant scene because food is another source of joy. You will find her spontaneously setting off to discover new corners of the world because freedom lights her up. Other times you will find her in Victoria’s stunning Peninsula’s where she loves escaping into nature or the ocean.
